Work-based learning quality assurance in VET in
Moldova – from EQAVET to WBL quality

Our Mission & Vision

The WBL-Quality MD Project will clearly and directly approach two of the ERASMUS+ priorities 2025:

  • Build capacity of VET providers to strengthen cooperation between private and public stakeholders in the field of vocational education and training for demand-oriented and opportunity-driven VET interventions;
  • Improve the quality and responsiveness of VET to socio-economic opportunities and social developments to enhance the labour market relevance of skills provision;

Work-based learning is in fact the most important and crucial element when it comes to private public partnership in VET. Only if the VET systems are offering a clever and modern combination between VET training and work-based learning opportunities, it will be possible to answer modern skill challenges on the labour market.

Our WBL-Quality MD project will be implemented with its clear aim to assess and improve the quality of work-based learning offers as part of the VET process in Moldova. In today’s rapidly evolving economy and society, a well-functioning work-based learning (WBL) system is a vital component of vocational education and training (VET) across all countries.

High-quality and modern WBL processes are essential for equipping future employees with the  knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to adapt, grow, and thrive. However, the WBL sector faces challenges, as it operates at the complex intersection of education and the labour market.
